approved status for Storage and Distribution
David Hathaway Transport of Bristol have recently passed an extensive MHRA (Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Authority) audit process in order to attain a Wholesaler Dealers Licence, allowing them to provide logistics services to clients in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors. From their wholly owned secure site, they operate a 9500 pallet warehouse facility in which a fully temperature monitored pharmaceutical environment has been introduced. The superior quality of the logistics services already provided to major Blue Chip clients, and the integrity of the WMS (Warehouse Management System) allows total traceability and management of all inventory down to the smallest retail pack. A full pick and pack solution is provided to prepare freight for distribution through our unique hub free system Partnerlink. This reduces the handling of medical devices or product by over 60%.

DHT Balloon goes to exclusive Swiss Balloon
Fiesta
Yet again DHT is above the rest when the Balloon went to one of the worlds most exclusive Balloon Fiestas in Chateau D’Oex in Switzerland. Passengers enjoyed spectacular vistas on the Alps from up to 8000ft. This was the 32nd Year of the fiestas running. The balloon and pilot were also featured on a front page article in one of Switzerlands foremost Daily Newspapers. The 9 day festival was a success with balloons in attendance from all over the globe.

New Trailers working in the fleet and already
bringing benefits
The transport fleet has not been ignored either, with the recent receipt of 20 new aerodeck trailers, both single and double deck units being introduced into the fleet. This recent development is coupled with the ongoing project of reducing carbon emissions and costs in order to provide a leaner service to our client.

Nominated for best customer service for a depot...
David Hathaway transport was recently nominated for the depot with the best customer service among over 100 Palletforce depots. This is as aresult of our increased investment in staff numbers and training to give customers what they want when they want it.

in new equipment.
We have just ordered a further 20 new trailers to replace the oldest ones in the fleet, these will start to come online in September 09. Several customers have taken the opportunity to have one or two of these trailers to be marked up in their livery. David Hathaway is committed to grow both our own business and that of our customers. David Hathaway Balloon Flies for the first time
ever from Bristol Airport.
The balloon team took part in exclusive Balloon Fiesta Press launch on 12/06/09. This was the first time a mass balloon launch had ever taken place from Bristol International Airport. The launch was covered by all of the main Media including BBC, ITV, SKY and various web sites. See below :

This is an exclusive group of local businesses linked with the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta which is the second largest outdoor event in the UK. David Hathaway Transport customers are able to enjoy the Fiesta from within the Arena . Customers also enjoy flights from the Fiesta's main launch Field.

David Hathaway Transport awaits delivery of yet
more new vehicles...
We are currently expecting delivery in the next few
months of :
3 x Scania R cab Topline 470 tractor units
2 x Scania 310 26 tonne P cab Hi Line rigid vehicles
A further 3 vehicles are due in January 09.
At David Hathaway Transport, we have a five year replacement policy on vehicles. This ensures a continuity of supply for customers, as well as providing an up to date image for David Hathaway Transport and for the customers who use our services.

Another new client...
David Hathaway transport has taken on the responsibility of distributing the products of Saddleback Ltd. This Bristol based company is the UK importer of many famous brands of bicycle and cycling apparel. David Hathaway Transport receives the product from containers under bond into its secure warehouse. There it is palletised and entered into the warehouse stock control system. Saddleback can then access its stock online 24 hrs a day. This system also enables Saddleback to process pallet or case orders up to 1900 hrs for despatch for next day delivery nationwide.

David Hathaway Transport employs more staff to
assist with its customer services
David Hathaway Transport has just taken on two further members of office staff to assist in the delivery of a quality service in our expanding company. The Daytime Traffic Clerk team has been increased by one to three and customer services has been augmented by a totally new role, that of Sales Support Administrator. This key individual will assist in ensuring customers' expectations are met by producing, amongst other things, KPIs for internal and external purposes. These positions are in addition to existing staff. The result is 99.5% 'delivery performance on time, in full' for both warehouse-picked stock and for customer collections for next day delivery.
