David Hathaway Transport has over 55 vehicles and 100 trailers providing an excellent distribution service throughout the UK.
Every aspect of the process, from collection through to storage and delivery, is computer co-ordinated with each vehicle being connected to the traffic office, via the latest Vodafone mobile communication technology.
The system also utilises brand new Navman GPS Telemetry, for both vehicles and trailers, enabling our traffic controllers to track consignments in real time. Customers and delivery points can then be accurately updated as to the progress of deliveries.
We offer a total logistics service for customers looking to outsource: from collecting the goods from your facility, storing them until required for distribution, then picking and delivering them to any part of the UK. We work with JIT demands very much in mind.
Same day, next day or specific day services to all parts of the UK are available. From parcels to full loads of 44 tonnes.
We can monitor specific KPIs according to customer requirements. Our Delivery Performance KPI 'on time and in full' is System Generated and regularly exceeds 98%. This is customer specific and reported monthly in a format detailing each non conformance. This provides a robust reporting procedure on which to improve subsequent delivery performance and customer. Whilst the vast majority of deliveries are made by our own vehicles, we are also founder members of PARTNERLINK ltd, a scheme set up by a small group of like-minded companies, to handle night time freight exchanges. This improves service and efficiency, while reducing our respective carbon footprints.
